Consultations are free of charge but must be booked in advance to ensure you get time dedicated to you. This gives us a chance to sit and discuss all the specifics (including pricing) of your tattoo and work together to gain a clear idea of your final design. It is best to have consultations in person so we can accurately judge size and placement of the design (it’s also nice to meet the person you will be working with face to face before you get tattooed), however they can be done by Skype too if this is more convenient.
Once your consultation is complete, an appointment can be set for your tattoo. A deposit must be paid at the time of booking or it will not be possible to keep your appointment. PLEASE NOTE; consultations and tattoo appointments can be scheduled for out of opening hours. We will do our very best to accommodate your available time.
1-1.5 hours requires £50 deposit
2-3 hours requires £100 deposit
More than 3 hours requires a 50% deposit.
Deposits are transferrable to another date with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice, but non-refundable.
The design for your tattoo will normally be made a maximum of one week prior to your appointment due to the high volume of bookings. The consultation process is a great way for both client and artist to be on the same page in terms of the final design, however should you want to view the design prior to your appointment, a ‘design confirm’ can be scheduled no less than two days before your booking. For customers travelling internationally a Skype call can be made, but this will also need to be scheduled in our diary.
Session time will vary depending on the scale and complexity of your tattoo. For large scale work such as half and full sleeves, back pieces etc, a minimum of 4 hours is required for the first session to ensure the tattoo is under way effectively. Future sessions can be booked for a length of time that suits you starting at one hour.
Should you need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit is transferable with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice (by email only) but non-refundable.
The honest answer is YES. All tattoos hurt, regardless of the size and area. However, the pain is tolerable and our team will help you through your session.
We do not recommend the use of any numbing agent on the area to be tattooed. If you decide to use any form of numbing agent on this area that this may affect the final result of the tattoo. In such a case Tales of Inkspiration are not responsible for the final healed result of the tattoo and any retouches that may be needed will be subject to an additional charge at the artist’s usual hourly rate.
Eat something high in sugar and calories approximately 1 hour prior to your appointment.
Ensure the area to be tattooed is clean and shaved to a basic level if needed.
Be well rested.
Bring a sugary drink or snack with you to help keep your sugar levels elevated during your tattoo.
Wear loose fitting clothing.
We kindly request that you do not arrive for your tattoo under the influence of alcohol or any other substances. If we suspect that you are under the influence then we reserve the right to refuse to tattoo you.
